Vanadurga Ashram is a Yoga Sanctuary located in the El Arenal village of San Carlos, Antioquia.
The Ashram integrates yoga, meditation, Ayurveda and Vedic ecology as fundamental pillars under the philosophy of Swami Sivananda and Vishnudevananda. It follows a tradition of classical yoga with a focus on conscious lifestyle, service and global spiritual outreach through retreats and teacher trainings.
The main objective is to generate a critical mass of people doing yoga around the world.
The name Vanadurga means “The Universal Mother who protects the jungle”. It is built on some 96 hectares of forest in recovery and surrounded by some 12,700 hectares preserved by neighbors, crossed by two rivers and streams considered “mystical” — which earns it the name of world chakra for its biodiversity and ecological role.
